Project partners from all over Austria took part in the AMIDS consortium meeting to gain insights into the important updates and progress of the project.
Vienna, November 19, 2024. The AMIDS project partners gathered for its bi-annual consortium meeting at Pilotfabrik Industrie 4.0 in Seestadt, Vienna. The event brought together key stakeholders such industry representatives and researchers from different institutions to discuss the progress and future directions of the Austrian Manufacturing Innovation Data Space (AMIDS) project.
Project updates: Claudia Schickling gave a brief introduction into the upcoming agenda and the current status of the project bringing up the recent developments and representations at different events.
Innovative progress: Thomas Trautner and Stefan Dumss, both from TU Wien, presented the certain technical developments concerning the Living Lab solution as well as ideas of an TU connector.
Interesting Use Case updates: Prof. Rudolf Pichler, Martin Schellander and Bernd Hader gave an update on Use Case 1 of AMIDS and shared the stunning progress made within the last months.
Klaus Straka and his colleagues from JKU Linz: Andrea Haubenreich, Bernhard Cäsar and Gabriel Seebach kept up this positive sentiment when sharing Updates of Use Case 2 assisted by a demonstration to increase shared understanding.
Introducing the Living Lab: Roman Gehrer shared the functionality of the Living Lab with the project partners and illustrated how the functions can be translated into the later progress of the project.
Whats next?
After the various presentations, the project participants proceeded to discuss the upcoming tasks and challenges within the project in small working groups.
Successful collaboration
The event was in the spirit of exchanging ideas with other partners of the AMIDS project. Due to the positive perception of the group discussions and meeting other partners on-sight, the event provided sufficient networking opportunities.

The Austrian Manufacturing Innovation Data Space (AMIDS) is a collaborative initiative aimed at fostering innovation and enhancing competitiveness in the manufacturing sector through data-driven solutions. As of 2023, AMIDS constitutes an essential part of the ecosystem surrounding EuProGigant.

Pilot Lin-X: This initiative focuses on the practical implementation of data spaces within pilot manufacturing environments, enabling real-world testing and validation of innovative solutions.
Research Lin-X: This stream is dedicated to exploring leading research and development activities in data spaces, aiming to push the boundaries of what is possible in manufacturing through collaboration and advanced data analytics.
