Project partner STARK Spannsysteme, based in Rankweil, Austria, hosted the first hybrid meeting of the project’s industrial committee meeting. More than a dozen committee members from Austria and Germany gathered at the company’s premises in Vorarlberg on 8 June 2022 – 20 others followed the event digitally.

The industrial committee meeting opened with a hybrid plenary session that informed members about the current project status. In addition, the thematic working group “CO2 footprint in production engineering and manufacturing” and the successful participation at HANNOVER MESSE were the focus of the event. From 30 May to 2 June 2022, the project team, together with the Web3 experts of deltaDAO AG, demonstrated the connection to the new, European data infrastructure Gaia-X and received a lot of positive feedback from project sponsors and trade fair visitors.

After a guided tour through the new plant of hosts STARK Spannsysteme, there were enriching discussions during the World Café in the afternoon: after a presentation of the four thematic working groups and their use cases, the committee members were able to provide input. Both the ease of implementation and ease of use for employees, as well as further challenges in industry were discussed.

The joint visit to the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences in Dornbirn provided a successful conclusion. The participants were informed about the latest educational trends around smart Production and gained insights into the Digital Factory of the FH Vorarlberg.
