7 and 8 October 2024 – The EuProGigant Open House Day 2024 and interesting workshops are upon us!
Vienna, August 28, 2024. The EuProGigant Open House Day returns one last time. This year’s event, themed “Navigating Data Spaces,” will take place on October 8, 2024, in the grand Palais Ferstel, in the heart of Vienna.
During the event, attendees will gain insights into the latest developments within the EuProGigant project ecosystem and reminiscence past milestones.
Opening Remarks by Political and Academic Leaders
Participants of the EuProGigant Open House Day will have the opportunity to listen to presentations and discussions from experts across various fields. This facilitates extensive knowledge transfer, with representatives from industry, research, SMEs, and other sectors attending.
There will be notable representation from universities and politics, as political figures and university directors have agreed to speak at the event. Federal Minister Leonore Gewessler, BA, in her capacity as Minister for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation, and Technology, will address the importance of European projects like EuProGigant. Additionally, the Director of TU Wien, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jens Schneider, will deliver introductory remarks. Furthermore, Hannes Hunschofsky, Managing Director of EIT Manufacturing East, and Christian Bölling, Managing Director of EIT Manufacturing Central, will discuss the progress of the EuProGigant project and its resulting ecosystem.
Keynote Presentations by Renowned Experts
The event will feature various keynote presentations and discussions led by experts. Topics will range from Gaia-X for SMEs to Digital Product Passports.
After the successful introduction to the event, different experts will take the initiative to explore a variety of topics. The focus will be on providing value to representatives from research, industry, SMEs, and startups by presenting content in an understandable and actionable fashion.
Networking Success in Focus
This Open House Day aims to bring together representatives from diverse fields. As a result, it presents an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with other participants and gain new insights from different perspectives.
Additionally, it provides a chance to connect with others interested in the topic of European data spaces in the manufacturing industry.
Specialized Workshops
For deeper insights into EuProGigant’s technologies, workshops will be offered on October 7, 2024. These workshops will address topics such as the Asset Administration Shell, Business Models, and Ecosystem Technology.
The “Asset Administration Shell” workshop will be conducted by Assistant Professor Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Thomas Trautner from TU Wien. He will offer learnings into the administration shell and its various submodels. Furthermore, the tools needed for successful implementation will also be discussed.
The next workshop focuses on “Business Models” and explores the potential benefits generated through data cooperation. Potential synergies and use cases for SMEs will also be illustrated. This workshop will be led by Wolfgang Kniejski, Senior Business Creation Manager at EIT Manufacturing East.
Lastly, there will be a workshop on “Ecosystem Technology,” covering not only Pontus-X but also interoperability within Gaia-X. This workshop will be led by Paul Weißenbach, Lead Cloud Engineer at Posedio GmbH.
