Project progress, use cases and possible business models were the focus of the second EuProGigant milestone meeting in Darmstadt. In addition to an overview of the project status, the participating partners from Austria and Germany discussed questions about the cooperation with the Gaia-X Association and how EuProGigant represents its own Gaia-X compliant ecosystem. The event was accompanied by workshops, in which the business requirements for the digital ecosystem were elaborated from a project perspective.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

EuProGigant – a key project for Gaia-X<\/strong><\/p>\n

Prof. Matthias Weigold, head of the Institute for Production Management, Technology and Machine Tools (PTW) at the TU Darmstadt, opened the milestone meeting on 10 March, 2022, in the university’s Wilhelm-K\u00f6hler-Hall with special thanks to the committed project partners and the funding authorities. In his welcoming speech, he emphasized the importance of the research project, which aims to build a cross-location, digitally networked production ecosystem. Dr. Dominik Rohrmus, Chief Operating Officer of the Gaia-X<\/a> European Association for Data and Cloud AISBL, also underlined the important role of EuProGigant as a Gaia-X lighthouse project and signpost for a competitive, European industry.<\/p>\n
